condors playing over Grand Canyon

condors playing over Grand Canyon

Location: Earth » North America » United States » Arizona » Coconino County

Date: September 11, 2007

Two condors play in the air above the Grand Canyon. Condors were re-introduced into the canyon several years ago and have made wonderful progress there. If you look closely, you can see white tags with numbers on the leading edge of their wings, and each condor has a unique number that identifies it for researchers.
