ID Request

Crossbred Duck?

Crossbred Duck?
Earth » North America » United States » Maryland » Anne Arundel County

Date: May 18, 2008 There are two of these large ducks at a small pond. They both look identical. Not sure if a black bill is a variation of the Mallards but the speculum is bluish-purple with white and black bars like a Mallard.

Duck
This is a really good photo. I'm just not sure we've had any traffic from people good with duck IDs to say what you have. Feel free to leave it in ID request if you want.

Moving back
Thanks Mike, I just didn't want to clutter the I.D. request with something someone wouldn't comment on. I'll move it back for a bit. It isn't a high priority for me to figure this one out...was more curious than anything.
