Juvenile House Sparrow

Juvenile House Sparrow

Location: Earth » North America » United States » Delaware » New Castle County

Date: May 16, 2008

I noticed this little bird under my car (sometimes under a tire as in this photo) and as time progressed he was getting more and more vocal; I did not see any parents responding. It was drizzling and chilly and it was starting to get dark so I managed to catch him and put him in my garage inside a shoe box. Amazingly, he calmed down and seemed to be happy. I checked on him later and he was fine and not scared at all. I am not sure how long I can keep him but maybe now he/she has a chance. I think its a Juvenile House Sparrow.
