Ugly duck

This duck was just visiting, and wasn't too concerned by my presence. They are often seen in man-made ponds in suburban areas.

Duck-Vulture Hybrid
Just kidding.

Hi Jeff:
I'm goin' with Domestic Muscovy (Cairina moschata).

I've seen some images on-line and yours seems to have an exceptionally lage amount of red warting on the head-neck.

David Sibley writes on page 89 of "The Sibley Guide to Birds" first edition: "Interbreeding produces a bewildering variety of plumages and sizes...." and "Varies from all-white to nearly all-black."
