Grey Heron

Grey Heron

Location: Earth » Europe » Germany » Berlin

Date: March 29, 2008

This fellow is coming to my local park frequently. This is a wild bird but very used to small and big humans as well as their pets. I'd say these are quite intelligent birds, and the most versatile in their ability to get off in the air vertically, if necessary.
The rest of the story is here: http://picasaweb.google.de/beogeo/LeGrandChef
Technique: Shot with a Pentax K100D and a vintage Revuenon(Enna) non-MC 5.6/300mm, gimp-pp

Changed Taxon
Media was moved from Ardea. Good photo, and thanks for posting. By the way, I just added the Bundesländer to the system, so if you want, you may edit your image and change the location.

Danke!
