You wonder correctly!
David, many thanks for catching my mistake again. I checked a few more of my not-so-good pics and there isn't a white terminal band on the tail. Also, the beak on the Eastern Phoebe appears less stout than the Eastern Kingbird's. Otherwise, they are similar in appearance and flying habits.


Changed Taxon
Media was moved from Tyrannus tyrannus.
