Killdeer, nest

Killdeer, nest

Location: Earth » North America » United States » Texas » Williamson County

Date: July 1, 2005

This killdeer nest was simply a scrape on bare ground, lined with dried grass and a little down. Despite being in the same horse pasture with horses, all eggs survived to hatch.
