Northern Red Bishop

Northern Red Bishop

Location: Earth » Africa » Gambia

Date: October 8, 2007

During the breeding season the male Bishops look superb as they display to the females.
This Northern Red was obliging, though I would have liked to capture the feathers raised along the back and head. Maybe next time...

Another shot taken whilst birding with Halcyon Gambia.
