Double-crested Cormorant Juvenile
I don't know of any other North American cormorant with the light breast (juvenile), dark belly, orange around base of beak, green eyes....

Sure wish you had some dates for your specimens.

Dates?
Oh, ok. Is it useful because of various plumage changes throughout the year? This picture was taken Sat Oct 27 17:20:18 2007.

Date Data
Yes, important for seasonal plumage variation and also age-related plumage change as well as for migration patterns.

Species, location and date are the basic datum for any specimen.

Setting the date
Hi Andrew, you can set the date yourself in your images by clicking the Edit link in the area below your image. Then fill in the date field. For this one you'd use 2007-10-27. I went ahead and updated this image (I also added a 'juvenile' tag), but you might review your others.

At some point I hope to build maps and data summaries using the location and date info, so it will be helpful data.
