Perhaps a song or fox sparrow? This sparrow has been visiting the bushes under a bird feeder for several days now. Unfortunately this is the best shot I've gotten so far, as it is rarely in the clear. I'll keep trying, but in the meantime I'm hoping to find out what kind of sparrow it is.

Too bad we don't have a recording of its distinctive call here but listen for it as you observe this individual.

Thanks David. I hope we do get some folks to post sounds here. I'd like to try it myself when I find some decent equipment.

I did note that Wikipedia has the song online. I'll be listening for it.


Call/Song
I don't think you'll hear the song this time of year. I listened to the Wikipedia file but it didn't have the call note.
