White-breasted nuthatch exhibiting distinctive behavior: walking down side of tree head first. Taken in Holla Bend NWR, in western Arkansas.

Equipment & settings: Pentax K10D with Tamron 70-300 lens + 1.4x teleconverter; focal length 300mm, 1/320th sec @ f/5.6, ISO 400.
