Common Nigthhawk

Date: June 28, 2010 While walking back up a canyon after doing bird surveys in Dinosaur National Monument I came across this common nighthawk. I have no idea if it was on a nest or just trying to be cryptic while roosting for the day. Either way it was in full sun with temps in the upper 80's ... I was able to take the photo (unfortunately I had my 60mm on for macro shots) and walk away with out it barely blinking an eye ...
