House
Definitely House Finch. Note that the color is red, not purple and does not extend over all of the head. Also it has brown streaks on the underparts, Purple Finch shows little or no streaking.

As for the color, a friend of mine describes the difference as Cherry Kool Aid (House Finch) and Raspberry Kool Aid (Purple Finch) and for me at least that description is dead on.

Thank-you!
Thank-you! I'll move it to the proper place ^__^
