YOU Got It Right
Unfortunately, the real name of this bird species is Red-bellied Woodpecker. There is a small amount of red plumage low on the belly but its difficult to see.

I told Doris. She thought it was some kind of woodpecker. now she knows she was right. she saw it again at the feeder this morning.
