Red-breasted Nuthatch - Call

Location: Earth » North America

Date: March 23, 2007

The characteristic call of the nuthatch. You can also hear a Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura) in the background (as well as a friend walking up to me...)
Recorded at The Arboretum, University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario.

Oops...
That didn't work out right. I realize the submission box is for images only ... how do I post sounds?

Sounds
What format sound did you try to post? Currently only MP3s work. If you have .wav files you can use Audacity to convert it.

Thanks, done.
The file is ridiculously huge but it plays properly now.

Works
Seems to work. Thanks for posting the first sound. The file downloaded pretty fast for me, but I have broadband. We'll play it by ear (accidental pun) to determine what a reasonable file size is.
