Location: Earth » North America » United States » Arizona » Pima County Date: June 24, 2006 After closer inspection I believe this to be an Elf Owl (Any thoughts?). I took the photo in my mom's backyard in Tucson - apparently a little far north for it to be a Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl...

Tricky Owl
I'm thinking this is a Western Screech-Owl, it just has its "ears" down (or is a juvenile).
