What about data points/maps ?

I'm not sure if this is realistic or not considering BirdSite accepts submissions from anywhere in the world and I'm sure it would be a significant undertaking to incorporate.

But, just asking....

I definitely want to do mapping. I just haven't decided exactly how I want to do it. Mapping software on the web has really progressed since I built the BugGuide maps.

I also want to make the species/date/location data easily accessible to users so we can do cool stuff like plot it in Google Earth or something, or whatever people can think of.

Stay tuned, but feel free to post more ideas.
